Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Family Background
Gurmeet Singh was born on 15 August 1967 at Sri Gurusar Modia village in Ganganagar district of Rajasthan. His father was a Jat landlord, and his mother was a housewife. They were devoted followers of the DSS leader Shah Satnam Singh, and Gurmeet accompanied his father to the Dera. At the age of 7, Gurmeet Singh was initiated into the Dera Sacha Sauda sect by Shah Satnam Singh.
When Shah Satnam Singh announced his retirement in 1990, Gurmeet Singh was not one among the three contenders expected to succeed him. However, in surprise public announcement, Satnam Shah appointed him as his successor, giving him the name "Huzoor Maharaj Gurmeet Ram Rahim". Gurmeet Singh became the leader of the Dera at the age of 23, on 23 September 1990.
The new Dera head wasn't as the simple-living-high-thinking leader as his predecessors. His love for shiny costumes took an obsessive tone later.
Gurmeet Singh and his wife Harjeet Kaur have two daughters named Amarpreet and Charanpreet.
They also have a son Jasmeet, who is married to Husanmeet, a daughter of the Indian National Congress leader Harminder Singh Jassi.
He later adopted a bubbly young girl Honeypreet as his third daughter. The three call themselves Papa's Angels. All other devotees also call him Pitaji or Papa ji.
Honeypreet is the same woman who accompanied Baba Ram Rahim while he was being flown in a helicopter from the police lines complex in Panchkula.
Charanpreet and Amarpreet are married to men given really fancy names by Baba Ram Rahim. Charanpreet's sons are named Sweetluck Singh and Subah-e-Dil. The daughters have acted in his MSG series of films.

That was not enough after the big flop and received mostly negative reviews from critics, sequel, MSG-2 The Messenger, and later by two spiritual successors, The Warrior Lion Heart and Hind Ka Napak Ko Jawab, with Singh similarly involved in all of them.
